Venice is probably my favorite place to be. My first visit was when I was very young and I remember only the ice cream and the boat that brought us there. As a student I decided to go there every second year during the Art Biennale. I have never missed a year except for the Covid period and I am not sure if there was a biennale at all. Initially I visited cheap hotels, later a more expensive ones and finally, being in a private house was actually the best.
This aquarelle painting (looks more like a gouache) was made on a balcony of a private apartment. Other sketches are made on some places in the lagune. 2024 is a Venice biennale again. Can’t wait.
