Frozen leaves

So, it was cold during the night of 13 December in the Netherlands. And there is some ice on the canals. So there are immediately huge expectations about ice skating.  But the ice is very thin. Promising but thin and so we will have to wait for a few more nights. In the meantime there is some other beauty to look at. Like frozen leaves.

This is a small (12 x18 cm) watercolour sketch of a few frozen leaves in our garden.
