My dog Balthazar is a Wirehaired Vizsla. He joined our family as a puppy and quickly acted as if he had adopted us. With his sunny personality and playful nature, he found a special place in our hearts and has become a true member of the family. Hopefully, many  sketches of him will appear on this site.

The sketches are made using various materials—sometimes crayons, but more often gouache or watercolor paint. I also use different types of paper. Often, I choose inexpensive paper, which I prepare with a layer of gesso before painting on it. As a result, you can sometimes see faint letters showing through the sketch. I don’t mind this, because the sketches are just simple visual memories—nothing more.
