There isn’t much to say about this sketch, except that it’s based on a photo I took with my phone in a hotel lobby. The pillar the woman is leaning against was actually covered with signs pointing to the toilets, exits, and so on, but I felt including them would be too distracting. The woman seemed to be waiting for someone and spent quite a while looking rather bored at her phone. For me, the main challenge in this sketch was experimenting with combining crayons and watercolor to see how they would work together.
