Boy by Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl wrote Boy as a story about his childhood. One of the funny parts is about a dead mouse and a sweet-shop owner. Some parts are less funny, like the way children were treated at boarding school. I’ve never been to a boarding school, but this drawing shows how I imagine it might look when a boy is doing his homework there. It’s just a guess—the real atmosphere in a boarding school library is probably quite different.
