Balthazar is a Wirehaired Vizsla. He was born in Limburg on June 4th 2024, in a crowded litter with nine brothers and sisters. Balthazar had the roundest belly of them all, and even though he walked with a clumsy puppy wobble, he was always quick to find food. He seemed happy with everything around him, and I felt very happy to be with him. After nine weeks, we brought him to his new home. He slept peacefully in the car.
This sketch was made when he was about four weeks old. At that age, he slept almost all the time. We let him sleep on our blanket so he would get used to its scent. That way, when we brought him home, at least something would feel familiar during those first few challenging nights.
