Painting, Sketching & Enjoying Arts

Brussels

Visiting Brussels in January was interesting and cold. The most interesting part was the discussion about legal implications of art and art collections. There are more legal issues than I could have imagined. A visit to African Museum was a nice outing and a great place to reflect on colonial art and the possible ethical issues.

Brussels in January was gray, misty and very cold. I made a watercolor sketch of the entrance to the park of the African Museum. And in addition I made some small sketches with ink and watercolor. The sketches (9 x 9 cm) are about people that I briefly met in the Metro.
